"Asian Experiences in Disaster Management" (Asian Resource Foundation) came out.

update:November 20, 2013

This publication came out as a result of the project titled “Post Natural Disaster Management Practitioners Workshop for Asia ”, supported by the Toyota Foundation’s 2012 Asian Neighbors Program Special Purpose Grant “Prospects for the Future".

As a main content of the project, ARF held a workshop in Bangkok on April 2013. ARF invited social workers from the Asian region who are engaged in disaster management programs within the network of the Asian Resource Foundation. 32 members from 14 countries attended the workshop to share their experiences and knowledge about Disaster Management.
The experiences from 8 Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippine, Sri Lanka and Thailand were introduced in this publication. This book also presents key points from group discussions and points of interest for future reference in dealing with natural disasters.
